Little Lobsters Party Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to all birthday party bookings at Little Lobsters Play Centre Ltd (“Little Lobsters”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By making a party booking, the party host confirms that they have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions and our general Little Lobsters Terms & Conditions and Play Centre Rules.
1. Party Bookings
A £100 deposit is required to secure your party booking.
The deposit holds your chosen party date and time and is non-refundable and non-transferable, subject to your statutory rights.
Your party booking is only confirmed once the deposit has been received.
The party host is responsible for ensuring that all adults and children attending the party are aware of and comply with these Terms & Conditions and the Little Lobsters Play Centre Rules.
2. Payment
The remaining balance must be paid one week before the party date.
Final numbers of children and adults attending must be confirmed to a member of the Little Lobsters team one week before the party date.
Final payments can be made by the payment methods available at the time of booking, including cash or debit/credit card where offered.
If the final balance is not received by the payment deadline, we reserve the right to cancel the party booking.
3. Cancelling or Changing Your Party
The £100 deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable if you cancel your party.
Requests to move a party to an alternative date will be considered where possible but are subject to availability and Little Lobsters' agreement.
A date transfer is not guaranteed.
If Little Lobsters is required to close by government instruction or another circumstance outside our reasonable control, we will endeavour to transfer your party to a suitable alternative date.
If we are unable to provide your party, we will offer an appropriate alternative or refund in accordance with your legal rights.
4. Party Duration & Arrival
Party bookings are for 2 hours, unless otherwise stated on your booking confirmation.
Please arrive promptly so that you can make full use of your allocated party time.
If you arrive late, your party will normally still finish at the scheduled end time.
We cannot normally extend the party beyond the booked finish time where another booking follows.
5. Supervision & Responsibility
All children attending the party must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 or over.
The accompanying adult, parent, guardian or party host must remain at Little Lobsters with the children throughout the party.
Children may only use the play areas when supervised by a responsible adult.
Children remain the responsibility of their accompanying parent, guardian or party host at all times.
The Little Lobsters team is there to help maximise everyone's enjoyment and to operate and supervise the safe use of our facilities, but our staff are not a replacement for parental supervision or childcare.
Parents, guardians and the party host are responsible for observing the children in their care and ensuring that they are capable of using the play equipment safely.
Adults must follow reasonable safety instructions given by Little Lobsters staff.
6. Play Area Rules
All adults and children attending the party must be made aware of and follow our Play Centre Rules.
In particular:
No shoes are permitted in the designated play areas.
Socks must be worn in the play areas.
Suitable clothing must be worn at all times.
Children must use the equipment appropriately and safely.
Pushing, fighting, throwing objects or deliberately dangerous behaviour is not permitted.
Food and drinks must not be taken into the play areas.
Children must follow any age or height guidance displayed on equipment.
Little Lobsters staff may ask anyone to stop an activity where they believe it presents a safety risk.
7. Illness
Children or adults who are unwell with an infectious illness should not attend the party or use the play areas.
If a child becomes unwell during the party, the parent, guardian or host may be asked to remove the child from the play area or leave the premises.
We reserve the right to refuse entry where we reasonably believe that someone is unwell and may pose a risk to other customers or staff.
8. Food & Drink
No outside food or drink may be brought into the venue, except where specifically permitted by Little Lobsters.
Food and drinks provided as part of your party package must be consumed in the designated eating areas.
Please inform Little Lobsters of any allergies or dietary requirements as early as possible.
Allergen information is available from our team.
Our food preparation areas handle a range of allergens and we cannot guarantee an entirely allergen-free environment.
Birthday Cakes & Cupcakes
Birthday cakes and cupcakes may only be brought into the venue where permitted by Little Lobsters.
Where cakes or cupcakes are brought into the venue, they must be purchased from a registered food business that complies with applicable UK food information and allergen requirements, including Natasha's Law where applicable.
Homemade cakes or food prepared by individuals may not be permitted.
Please speak to a member of the Little Lobsters team if you are unsure whether a particular cake or food item can be brought into the venue.
9. Party Decorations
Party Poppers, Confetti Bombs, loose confetti, glitter and similar items are not permitted due to health and safety and cleaning requirements.
Decorations must not damage walls, furniture, equipment or any other Little Lobsters property.
Any decorations brought into the venue must be agreed with Little Lobsters where required.
Open flames, including candles, must only be used in accordance with Little Lobsters' instructions.
10. Damage to Property
The party host accepts responsibility for damage to the premises, furniture, equipment or other Little Lobsters property caused deliberately or through unreasonable behaviour by any person attending their party.
Where appropriate, the host may be responsible for reasonable costs of repair or replacement resulting from such damage.
This does not apply to ordinary wear and tear or damage caused by circumstances outside the host's reasonable control.
11. Personal Belongings & Vehicles
The management accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings brought into or left anywhere on the premises, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Customers are responsible for their own personal belongings and those of children in their care.
Vehicles and belongings left in the car park are left at the owner's risk. Little Lobsters does not accept responsibility for loss, theft or damage except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
12. Party Extras & Entertainment
Optional extras, including Music Time, party favours, balloons, Lenny the Lobster visits, character visits and parent platters, are subject to availability.
Optional extras must be booked and paid for in accordance with the booking arrangements.
Character visits and entertainment may occasionally need to be changed or cancelled due to circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If a paid-for extra cannot be provided by Little Lobsters, we will offer an appropriate alternative or refund the amount paid for that extra, as appropriate.
13. Photography & Video
Little Lobsters may take photographs or videos during parties for promotional purposes where appropriate consent has been provided.
Photography consent is optional and is not a condition of booking or attending.
The party host is encouraged to make guests aware of Little Lobsters' photography arrangements.
Guests should respect the privacy of other families and should not deliberately photograph or film other children without appropriate permission.
14. Behaviour
Little Lobsters is committed to providing a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for children, families and staff.
Aggressive, threatening, abusive or discriminatory behaviour towards staff or other customers will not be tolerated.
We reserve the right to ask any person to leave the premises where their behaviour creates a safety risk or seriously affects the enjoyment or wellbeing of others.
Violation of these Terms & Conditions or our Play Centre Rules may result in guests being asked to leave the premises.
No refund will normally be provided where a guest is asked to leave because of serious or unsafe behaviour.
15. Liability
Little Lobsters takes reasonable steps to maintain a safe environment and expects all guests to follow our safety rules and staff instructions.
Parents, guardians and the party host remain responsible for supervising children and ensuring that they use the play equipment safely.
Little Lobsters cannot accept responsibility for accidents, injury, loss or damage arising from a person's failure to follow our rules or use the facilities appropriately.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
16. Circumstances Outside Our Control
Little Lobsters will not be responsible for delays, changes or problems affecting a party where these arise from circumstances that are outside our reasonable control and which we could not reasonably have prevented or avoided.
Where a significant issue affects a party, we will endeavour to work with the party host to find a reasonable solution.
17. Complaints
We want every party to be a positive experience.
If you have a concern during your party, please speak to a member of our team as soon as possible so that we have the opportunity to resolve it.
If your concern cannot be resolved during your visit, please contact us using the contact details provided on our website.
18. Agreement & Guest Responsibility
The party host is responsible for ensuring that all guests attending their party are made aware of these Terms & Conditions and the Little Lobsters Play Centre Rules before attending.
By proceeding with the booking, the party host confirms that they accept these Terms & Conditions on behalf of their booking.
These Terms & Conditions are in addition to your statutory rights as a consumer.
